WE BELIEVE IN CHANGE

The Operation Uplift Foundation is striving to become Loudoun County’s premier scholarship foundation and its mission is to enhance the growth, development and education of local youth by obtaining, managing and directing resources which aid them.

The genesis of this 501c3 foundation was spawned out of a similar collective experience of many individuals who grew weary of sitting by and watching as many youths in our community decided against or postponed going to college due to the overwhelming expense.   As a committee person, there is no tougher pill to swallow than to see enormous potential go unfulfilled as you turn away kid after kid due to lack of available funding.

Our plan to address this is by expanding and increasing opportunities for students to achieve and it begins with the establishment of critical partnerships within the community.  Partnerships with corporate leaders, community leaders and individual leaders who share our common desire which is to see both high performing and under-represented youths obtain access to opportunities for higher learning.

The strategy we intend to execute is simple, by partnering with multiple organizations that share our philanthropic ambition, we intend to leverage opportunities for leadership development, enhance positive growth and focus a concerted effort on raising awareness.  We hope that with increased awareness we will be able to increase the financial position of the Operation Uplift Foundation thus providing more opportunities for youths to attend college.

So what is our goal, our goal is singular in focus…to grow the foundation to the point that we will be able to provide a minimum of $25,000 in academic scholarships to graduating senior in year one, of existence.  In subsequent years, we would like to increase this by a minimum of 10- 20% each year, with an ultimate goal of growing the financial donation enough to establish endowments for local youths to attend major universities and college. Is this aggressive….absolutely; however, it is achievable with the right team.
